Qira’ah (Recitation):
KG: At least three times a week, read for 10 minutes from you Qur’an reading book/booklet: (How to read Al Qur’an by Maha Rashed) which can be found on the QA teacher’s Weebly. Please make sure that you (the parent) date and initial each page that is read. By the end of summer, make sure you have finished reading at least up until page 21. Read two pages of the Qur’an daily. Log your daily recitation in your Reading Fluency Rubric. You can find a soft copy of the Reading Fluency Rubric on your Qur’anic Arabic teacher’s Weebly. The Summer Work Reading Fluency Rubric will be collected and graded as a Summative assignment out of 50 points at the beginning of the next academic year. quran_summer_reading_log__1_.docx 2nd Grade - 7th Grade:
Review all that you have recited from memory with proper tajweed to your Qur’anic Arabic teacher this year. Do this at least 5 days every week to not forget what you have memorized so that you can memorize more next year, insha’Allah. Students will be tested (Summative test) on what they have reviewed during the 1st four weeks of school. Students who Memorized 1+ Juz’ will be tested from An-Nas to Al-A’ala then move on to new memorization. Students who memorized up to Al-A’ala or less will be tested on everything they memorized. The beginning of the year memorization test will be a Summative test out of 20-50 points (depending on grade level). |
